From Experiment to $45 Million: The Grindhouse Story

Pokercode

It started as an experiment. In August 2020, we took a shot in the dark, isolating a group of aspiring players to teach them the perfect framework on how to improve their poker game, and to see where their path would take them.

Since then, that experiment has turned into an astonishing success.

Fast forward to today, and the "Grindhouse" alumni are not just students anymore; they are high-stakes crushers, Triton champions, and EPT winners. Across three editions of the project, the participants have collectively amassed an almost unbelievable amount of over $45,000,000 in live tournament earnings.

Here is the performance report of the dynasty we built, from the original trailblazers to the newest superstars.

🏠 Grindhouse 1: The Originals

Start Date: August 17, 2020

Total Live Winnings: $25,578,833

The inaugural class set a standard that seemed impossible to match - More than half of them won more than $1 Million in live tournaments since the end of Grindhouse 1.

With Mario and Roland on top, the whole crew is setting new standards.

Mario Mosböck - $17,696,040  - Most Notable Score: $2.69M – 2nd, Triton Monte Carlo Invitational

Roland Rokita - $3,854,136 - Most Notable Score: – Triton Jeju $25k Silver Main

Stefan Nemetz - $1,326,246 - Most Notable Score – Wynn Summer Classic Championship

Fabian Bernhauser - $1,271,673 - Most Notable Score – WSOP $5k Super Turbo Bounty

Matthias Auer - $927,152 - Most Notable Score – Wynn Spring Classic Main Event

Florian Gaugusch - $268,117 - Most Notable Score – WSOP Paradise Main Event

Florian Fuchs - $235,469 - Consistent mid-stakes grinder

Mario Mosböck ($17.6M) Mario Mosböck has become the undisputed captain of the Grindhouse legacy, turning a global poker superstar in just a few years by collecting a staggering $17.6 million in live cashes since the Grindhouse.

His resume includes a "hat trick" of major titles and a massive $2.69 million score in Monte Carlo, but his impact goes beyond the money. Mario has become a prominent figure of the industry, and is collaborating with both Triton and his sponsor CoinPoker to push the game forward.

Roland Rokita ($3.8M)  Roland was the first to put the Grindhouse on the global map, scoring a massive 3rd place finish in the WPT Venetian for $363,235 almost immediately after leaving the house. That score left our community stunned for more than one reason.

Over the last few years, Roland transitioned from a mid-stakes grinder to a Triton Champion. In 2024, he reached the pinnacle of the high-roller world by taking down the $25k Triton Jeju Silver Main Event, winning a career-best $904,000. With nearly $4 million in winnings, he has established himself as one of the most dangerous and consistent players on the tour- all while further working closely with our crew in Vienna.

Stefan Nemetz ($1.3M) While his live Hendon Mob shows over $1.3 million, that only tells half the story. "Nemi" has established himself as a true dual-threat, after humble beginnings as the very first Pokercode Support employee.

In the live arena, he famously took down the Wynn Summer Classic Championship for $720,639. However, he’s also secured one of the most prestigious titles in online poker by winning the ACR Venom, banking $782,000.

🏔 Grindhouse 2: The Heavyweights

Start Date: September 6, 2021

Total Live Winnings: $5,324,501

The second iteration brought a mix of cash game specialists and tournament grinders. While the roster was different, the result was similar: Deep runs all over the place, with Luka and Sebastian running deep in the WSOP Main Event in 2025. The same year, our Pokercode Coach Curtis Knight started competing in the most prestigious tournaments of the world - The Triton Series!

The Standouts

Luka Bojovic ($3.2M)

Luka has been the absolute breakout star of Grindhouse 2. His journey reached a historic peak - not just for him, but for the whole Pokercode Community - when, in July 2025 he secured a life-changing $2,400,000 score in the WSOP Main Event finishing in 5th place. But before the millions, Luka showed his dedication to the grind during smaller events. Notably, capturing a WSOP Circuit Ring in Marrakesh while grinding alongside the team during our Bootcamp!

Sebastian Schulze ($1.0M)

"SebArino" is a special success story for us. Before crossing the $1 million mark in live earnings and winning an EPT title in Barcelona for €361,355, Sebastian served as a Pokercode Community Coach. His transition from coaching our community to crushing the biggest stages is amazing to see for everyone in Team Pokercode!

Curtis Knight ($845k)

Curtis Knight is perhaps the ultimate Pokercode role model. His journey embodies everything we stand for: he started as a low-stakes member, worked relentlessly to become a coach, and today, his strategic mind is so respected that he serves as a coach for one of the most successful teams in poker—the high-stakes group surrounding Fedor Holz. But he doesn’t just teach the game; he plays it at the highest level. Curtis is now regularly competing in Triton Super High Roller events, proving he belongs among the elite both as a mentor at Team Pokercode, and a fierce competitor in the biggest events around the world.

The Squad

  • Simon Langer: $111,617
  • Paul Zehetleitner: $85,158
  • Jordan Charlton Woodall: $64,443
  • Bohm Dominik: $9,663

🚀 Grindhouse 3: The New Superstars

Start Date: October 10, 2022

Total Live Winnings: $14,401,232

If GH1 was the spark, GH3 was the explosion. This group has produced arguably the highest "ceiling" talent outside of Mosböck, and they are now taking active roles in developing the game.

The Standouts

Samuel Mullur

The "$10 Million Man" Samuel has had a surreal run, effectively turning into a super high roller shortly after the house. His runner-up finish in the $100k Triton Jeju Main Event (2025) for $3,509,025 is one of the biggest scores in Austrian poker history. That's only just the start of it for Samu as he's been crushing the high-stakes online scene as well, with multiple SCOOP and WCOOP titles this year and a 2nd place finish in $10k GGMillions Main Event for just over $1m. At this pace, he'll be cementing himself in years to come as one of the greatest players to ever play the game.

Grzegorz Kozieja & Fabian Niederreiter

Both "Greg" ($1.2M) and Fabian ($1.1M) have not only crushed the tables—Greg winning at EPT Prague and Fabian hitting final tables at the WSOP—but they are now passing the torch. Plus, Grzegorz and Fabian will be hosting the upcoming Pokercode Bootcamp in Marrakesh together, teaching you everything you need to know to exploit your opponents in today’s game.

Charlie Chiu

Charlie ($847k) has become a vital piece of our global network. Beyond his success on the felt—including a recent $100k score in the APT Super High Roller—Charlie has become an important partner for our friends in Taiwan, bridging the gap between European high rollers and the booming Asian poker community.

Alex O'Brien

Alex continues to be a trailblazer. While she grinds the circuit, she’s also released just another brilliant book, and is a significant figure in the industry who relentlessly pushes for the growth of Ladies Events and Industry as a whole.

The Squad

  • Siegfried Kapeller: $269,592 (8th in EPT Prague Main Event)
  • Tobias Eichenseher: $17,339 (Online crusher, 2nd in GGMillion$ for $200k+)
  • Bhushan Sohani: $1,736

🏆 The Bottom Line

  • GH1: $25.6 Million
  • GH2: $5.3 Million
  • GH3: $14.4 Million
  • Grand Total: Over $45.3 Million

The Pokercode Grindhouse has helped nine players evolve, who’ve gone on to amass more than $1 million in earnings in the live fields, and millions more online. We’re proud that the Grindhouse crews did not just work during the event, but became close allies to further crush and improve together. We’re proud to see this as a team, and can’t wait to get started with the next generation of talent!
